Opportunities for teaching staff

The Faculty of Human Sciences encourages its teaching staff to seize the training and development opportunities offered by the University of Würzburg. The enhancement of their teaching skills is an integral part of the training of the Faculty’s Habilitation candidates. The Qualification Programme (QP) equips the Faculty’s doctoral researchers with valuable skills. Some of the opportunities available under the QP are offered in collaboration with the Graduate School of the Humanities (GSH).

The ProfiLehre programme offers a range of practice-oriented courses that give the Faculty’s academic staff the opportunity to enhance their teaching skills. Those courses focus on areas such as presentation and communication skills, exams and academic advising.

The ProfiLehre programme also offers access to coaching from experienced coaches.

Opportunities for student tutors

Designed for students who tutor and mentor other students, the KOMPASS programme equips participants with generic skills, such as presentation, communication, teaching and conflict management skills.
